We love brand projects where we can tap into deeper strata concerning our clients’ identity. In the case of the Rye Arts Festival re-brand, we were privileged to have a beautiful, historic town as our starting point.
We took our inspiration from the apex of a beautiful stained glass window in St Mary’s Church, which sits at the heart of Rye’s geography and history.
Working with the component geometry of the original window, we developed the design further to create a unique, modular brand mark.
Our design was adaptable, and could be broken down into its component parts in various contexts.
Before and during the festivals it is hugely present throughout the town – on banners, posters and flags and brochures.
We’re proud to have developed a brand identity that delivered a sense of history and place with a contemporary feel for this big arts festival in a small, beautiful town.
